Golfclub Zwolle has played on the edge of Zwolle, next to the Wijthmenerplas recreation area, since 1995. Alan Rijks designed the 70-hectare course, which started with 9 holes and was extended to 18 a few years later. Water comes into play on several holes.

The course
The 18 holes lie in two loops, Veldwijk and Boschwijk, and form an A-status course of par 71 and 5,770 metres. Water comes into play on several holes, and according to the club the course offers enough challenge for high and low handicappers alike. One notable detail: dogs on a lead are allowed on the course. There is also a par 3 course.
Around the course
Golf Academy Zwolle handles all the teaching, from open days and taster lessons to private lessons, clinics and corporate sessions. The clubhouse is home to Brasserie de Afslag, for coffee, lunch or dinner. Packages start with coffee or tea and apple pie with cream and can be extended with lunch, a sharing platter or dinner. Visitors with handicap 54 are welcome and book online or by phone. The green fee is higher on Sundays.
