Golfclub de Koepel lies on the road from Rijssen to Wierden, on an estate once known as the Wierden dunes. The club counts Twente hospitality among its core values.

The course

The 18-hole course, par 70 and 5,576 metres from the back tees, is varied and sits attractively in the landscape. Its trademarks are juniper bushes and old native trees, and a stretch of heath with an old sheepfold, which several holes play around, gives it a character of its own. The PGA professional, Garry Jack, offers tips on how best to play each hole. The men's course record has stood since April 2023 at 63, by Rick Hessing; the women's record is 68, set by Marie José Groenewoud in 2006. De Koepel was the first club in Twente to earn GEO certification.

Practice

The driving range is 200 metres long, with 16 covered and 7 open bays, all with TrackMan Range. There is a large chipping green with bunkers and a putting green, open daily from sunrise to sunset. Green fee players can buy range balls at a reduced rate when they check in. The club uses fixed tee times, so booking is required.
