Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen

Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen lies in the middle of the Vecht valley, near Arriën. The course changes with the seasons: rhododendrons and serviceberry flower in spring, heather and water lilies colour it in late summer, and in winter the pines provide a green backdrop.

The course

The 18-hole woodland and heathland course sits on sandy soil among broadleaf and pine trees, par 72 and 6,194 metres. It has wide and narrow fairways, natural waste areas of heather and sand and views through the trees, and the club says every hole has its own character. The 2nd is a par 3 over water, guarded by a big pine and a bunker left of the green. On the 13th a rolling fairway and a contoured green test your game.

Par 3 course and practice

The 9-hole par 3 course is anything but easy: holes of 78 to 128 metres, greens guarded by bunkers and water, and mature trees that complicate the approach. You can play a quick nine or go round twice. There is a TrackMan range. Green fee players are welcome every day, and four-balls can play from 2 pm. Beginners can take taster lessons, a starter package or group clinics.
