Golfpark Wilnis lies in the polders of the Green Heart. Gerard Jol and Michiel van der Vaart designed the 18-hole championship course, and there is also a par 3 course.
Golfpark Wilnis lies in the polders of the Green Heart, near Wilnis in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, between Amsterdam and Utrecht. If you like golf in quiet, green surroundings, the park says, this is the place.
The course
Gerard Jol and Michiel van der Vaart designed the 18-hole championship course, par 72 and 5,916 metres, which the park describes as very demanding. The open polder landscape, the water and the wind shape the play. There is also a par 3 course, open to green fee players with a course permit. The courses are open from 8.30 am until sunset.
As a visitor
Green fee players can book five days ahead when there is space, and check in with the caddie master in the shop with their federation card before playing. Between 10 am and 2 pm groups are filled up to four players, as demand outstrips tee times. The driving range is short, with a maximum carry of 150 metres because of the road behind it; in winter it is floodlit in the evening for members and pupils. The restaurant and terrace serve lunch and dinner, and you can take a packed lunch onto the course.
