De Golfhorst in America, at the gateway to the De Peel nature area, was laid out in 1997. Its 18-hole course stands out for big changes in elevation and a fairly short length, and there is also a 9-hole par 3 course.

De Golfhorst lies near America in North Limburg, in the heart of the Peel. The course was laid out in 1997 on a stretch of newly created nature, and the club puts the emphasis on a friendly atmosphere: non-golfers are welcome in the clubhouse and on the terrace too, whether they arrive on foot, by bike or by car.

The course

The complex has a full 18-hole par 70 course and a 9-hole par 3 course. The main course is not long, but by Dutch standards it has considerable changes in elevation. The practice facilities are extensive, with a covered driving range, a putting green and a chipping green. The professional, Remo Kuijpers, gives individual and group lessons for beginners and experienced players, juniors and adults, and you can book a 45-minute taster lesson with no obligation.

As a visitor

Visitors book a tee time by phone or email rather than online, and report to reception at least half an hour before they tee off. Members of Limburg Golfland get a discount on the green fee. The restaurant is open all day, seven days a week. De Golfhorst runs a joint business club with De Swinkelsche.
