The 18-hole course at Golf Residentie Dronten winds through a residential park across some 80 hectares, laid out on the still visible bed of the former Zuiderzee. According to the club, the Dutch federation rated the second loop, played twice in a row, as the hardest in the Netherlands.

Golf Residentie Dronten combines living and golf: the 18-hole course winds through a residential park of some 80 hectares, and the residents are co-owners of the course. The club was founded at the end of the last century and for a long time was based in an old potato barn, until a new clubhouse was built.

On the bed of the Zuiderzee

The course is laid out on the still visible bed of the former Zuiderzee. The front nine are par 35 and the back nine par 37, together par 72 and 6,131 metres. The club calls it a demanding course, something it says friend and foe agree on. The Dutch federation even rated the second loop as the hardest in the Netherlands, at least when you play it twice in a row.

Open to visitors

For a long time this was a closed club, open to members only. That has changed: green fee players are welcome, and you can play 9 or 18 holes. The federation has recognised the club for its policy towards senior golfers. After your round there is the clubhouse and a terrace the club calls the best in Flevoland, and De Vier Seizoenen on the park runs activities every day. Tee times can be booked through the Golf.nl app, by phone or by email.
