Gendersteyn has an unusual layout: 25 holes, split into two loops of nine, yellow (par 36) and red (par 35), and a blue loop of seven. Woodland, heath and open holes alternate. Yellow and red together make the only 18-hole round, par 71 and 5,892 metres; combine either of them with blue and you play a 16-hole round through different parts of the park. According to the park the emphasis is on relaxed golf, with enough variety in length and setting without a round feeling like hard work.
Learning and the brasserie
Several professionals teach here, with themed lessons in small groups, and the park runs free taster days. An 18-hole round is booked online with two tee times, one for each loop. Afterwards there is the brasserie for coffee, lunch or a drink.
