Golfbaan Delfland lies near Schipluiden, in the green and quiet Midden-Delfland area between Delft, Rotterdam and The Hague. It is a pay-and-play course with no members: anyone with handicap 54 can play, and the course calls itself the largest pay-and-play course in the Netherlands.
Three loops
The open 27-hole course has wide fairways, water features and rolling greens. It is made up of three loops of nine: Red and Yellow are par 36, Blue is par 37. You pay per loop, so nine holes are as easy to book as eighteen, and the combinations mean every round plays differently. In reviews, players mostly praise the upkeep and the quick greens.
Short game
Besides the main course there is a 9-hole par 3 course with bunkers and water, floodlit so you can play in the evening; you need a course permit for it. The Joost Luiten Green Course is a 9-hole putting and chipping course on high-quality artificial grass, for all levels and free for children aged 4 to 18. The driving range has Inrange tracking in every bay. Tee times can be booked up to seven days ahead, online or in the Delflandgolf app.
