Golfpark De Loonsche Duynen lies in De Moer, close to Kaatsheuvel, between the Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park and the Huis ter Heide estate. It belongs to the Hollandsche Golfclub, a group of public golf parks you can play without joining a members' club, with fair prices and flexible options.
The course
The 18-hole course covers 95 hectares and is made up of a yellow and a red loop of nine. At par 72 and 6,269 metres from the back tees it is one of the longer courses in the Hollandsche Golfclub group. Water, bunkers and woodland shape the play, and a few long holes call for a good drive. The wind can blow hard: at the first HGC Strokeplay Open, sixty golfers played 18 holes of strokeplay here with a stiff breeze as an extra test.
Short game and brasserie
Next to the main course there is a 9-hole short course of par 3s and par 4s, suited to learning the game or working on your short game. Club volunteers organise activities all year that anyone can join. On the day you play, check in at reception or through the HGC web app, or your round may be logged as a no-show. Afterwards the brasserie is open, to non-golfers as well.
