Golfclub Capelle has an 18-hole parkland course in a green pocket in the middle of the Randstad, on the east side of Rotterdam.
Golfclub Capelle lies on the eastern edge of Rotterdam, in a green pocket in the middle of the Randstad. The club describes itself as a modern members' club with a strong club spirit, where visitors are welcome.
The course
The 18-hole parkland course was designed by Donald Harradine and holds A status from the Dutch federation. At par 69 and 5,155 metres from the back tees it is not long, but according to the club the challenge lies in the clever placing of bunkers and water and in narrow fairways that demand precision. Big willows come into play on several holes: on one short par 4 long hitters take a line over two of them, and on another a fade started at the large willow on the left is a good option. One par 3 is surrounded by water. The course record of 63 belongs to Darius van Driel.
Facilities
The driving range is open every day and floodlit on several evenings. Golfschool Capelle teaches beginners and experienced players. The course holds GEO certification, the international environmental label for courses that take care of nature and resources. After your round there is the clubhouse.
