Golfpark Almkreek in Almkerk, in the Land van Heusden en Altena, has an 18-hole course and a short par 3/4 course in wide polder country between farms and ditches. It is part of the Hollandsche Golfclub.

Golfpark Almkreek lies in Almkerk, in the Land van Heusden en Altena, in open polder country of farms, ditches and long views. It belongs to the Hollandsche Golfclub, a group of public golf parks you can play without joining a members' club.

The course

The 18-hole course is made up of two loops of nine, and you choose which one to start on. Water shapes the line to the green on many holes, and with little shelter in the polder the wind often has a say. The club puts the emphasis on a relaxed round for golfers of every level, and the flora and fauna around the holes are given room.

More than the main course

If you want a shorter game there are options. A 14-hole short course mixes par 3s and par 4s and works as a step between the practice course and the full eighteen, and there is also a 9-hole par 3 course. Low-key club competitions run all year, including for beginners. After your round there is a brasserie with a large terrace, open to non-golfers too.
